Welcome to the Gallery page for 20082008 turned out to be a bit of a transitional year for the green and gold. We lost a large number of lads from our squad core who had been around for a number of years previous. Having said that though 2008 was still a strong year for the club despite not picking up any silverware. We got to the finals of three out of the five competitions in which we fielded. In those three finals the most we lost by was three points. The 10-a-side competition was this year held in Wollongong as an incentitive to the Wollongong Leprachauns club which were set up the year previous. We made the final only to be beaten by two points after extra time in what was a tight game. Our trip down to the Pearses 7's was an eventful one also with us losing out in the final by three points. If we had a few more lads to come on in the final things might have been different but as it was we were down to the bare minimum on the interchange bench at the end. Unfortunately we failed to retain the League trophy this year after our historic win last year. A number of poor performances and wasted oppurtunities meant that we failed to make the final. Our championship campaign this year was a hard fought one with us picking up some good wins along the way. We made the final this year which was played in August a bit earlier than in previous years. We lost the game by three points but only after we put up a strong comeback having gone down to a number of quick goals in the early stages of the match.
