Young Irelands Gaelic Football Clubs Kerry player, 25 year old James 'Goose' Flavin today announced at a club press conference held in the Bondi Road Hotel that he was quitting gaelic football to concentrate full time on his Aussie Rules career. Yesterday he put pen to paper in what has been described as a $500,000 p/a four year deal with the reigning premiers. Goose (pictured right) who represents his country in the code and for local side U.T.S. Bats said it was a dream come true to be able to play with his hero Big Bad Barry Hall and run out onto the S.C.G. paddock in the famous blood red strip.
