Young Ireland Gaelic Football Clubs veteran full forward Jason 'Lolly' Lalor (pictured on the left) has had his $300 leather jacket stolen from under his nose.
The theft took place in PJ O'Brien's Pub on the Saturday night of the Ireland v Australia rugby international.
It's not currently known as to the whereabouts of the jacket or of the perpetrators of this heinous crime.
Lolly takes up the story,
I went to watch the rugby match in PJ's with a lot of the Y.I. squad on the Saturday in question. As we had no match the following day I decided to let my hair down and have one or two Pure Blondes followed by a few gin and tonics. I'm a quiet man and i try keep to myself when I'm out but this form of pacifism was overlooked by whatever mongrel decided to swipe my quality piece of North American (Chinese plastic) cowhide. To say I was sickened and disappointed would not do the anger and upset I felt any justice. I was gutted. I have my suspicions as to who lifted it but as I'm a man who believes in fair play I wont say the mans name until a full club investigation takes place. This website has it on good authority that the last time the jacket was seen a certain older man from Portarlington was wearing it to deliver the post around the Co. Laois town. |
